Making a difference...
Each year, billions of CDs and DVDs are manufactured, while millions of these discs end up in landfills and incinerators. Simone has taken a stand to do their part in creating a better environment.
If you use, sell, promote, distribute, or manufacture compact discs, it is your responsibility to promote how to recycle them. When you come to a Simone show, please bring one or two unused/ unloved/ damaged/etc compact discs for Simone to recycle.
Compacts Discs, when recycled properly, will stop unnecessary pollution, conserve natural resources, and help slow global warming. Simone's role in this cause is based on a one to one ratio. In other words, for every cd Simone sells or distributes, at least one compact disc is recycled.

About Simone:
referred to as a cross between No Doubt and Led Zeppelin,
Simone continues to break convention with their own style. Influenced by
the underground Detroit scene as well as the post-pop alternative sounds
of Amsterdam, Simone remains in a class all their own.
'Strong riffs, hooks and melodies make Simone a highly-listenable band'
(Miramar Management), but it
is the energy of the live performances that Simone is best known.
Sharing the stage with bands such as
Driving The Fall,
Anyone's Guess,
Selby,
One Fall Away,
At Cliffs End,
Stranded and
many others, Simone exceeds expectations.
Known for their live performances -- "[Simone's] got the look, got the
voice, got the songs" (Steve
Gilmore, Rebel Riffs), Simone tours throughout the US and Europe.
Their music has charted on
GarageBand, StereoFame,
OurStage,
NoiseHead and Imeem,
and their independent release "Temporary Heaven" was awarded the E.A.R.
(Excellence In Audio Recording) award in 2007.
If there is one band that you follow this summer, it should be Simone.
